MIA posts new track attacking music journalist Lynn Hirschberg

The feud continues.

MIA has posted a new song attacking journalist Lynn Hirschberg on her record company's blog as well as snippets from their interview. This follows MIA tweeting Hirschberg's phone number after an unflattering article Lynn had written about her in the NYT. The song 'Haters' features the following lyrics

“Why the hell would a journalist be thick as shit” and “You can talk shit to me I’m used to it / You make me hard with the wounds that I have to lick / You can pick on me and I can see it at a click.”

We've been listening to Robert Johnson too fast

The recordings made by the Robert Johnson aka 'King of the Delta Blues' between 1936 and 1937 were some of the most influential of all time. Now almost 50 years later it's been discovered that we've been listening to his music at the wrong speed. It's unknown if the recording were accidentally sped up when transferring them to 78's or if it was intentionally done to make the recordings more exciting. However it happened it is now a consensus that we've been listening to Robert Johnson 20% too fast.

Read more here

From delsydsoftware @ IHC

I've always thought that his recordings sounded a little high pitched. The 20% difference is amazing, though. I converted a clip of "I believe I'll Dust My Broom", since the original clip exceeded its bandwidth limits. Here is the original, 20% faster version

And, here is the same clip 20% slower

The Countess LuAnn- Money can't buy you class

What valuable lessons I've learned from the Real Housewives. First Atlanta's Kim Zolciak taught me not to "Be Tardy for the Party" and now New York's Cuntess LuAnn is teaching us all that "Money Can't Buy You Class". I guess she should know...

The main thing I've taken from all this is money can't buy you talent.

He doesn't look 2 to me..

The story goes, Ardi got hooked on tobacco after his father Mohammed gave him a smoke at 18 mths old. It's reported that he now smokes up to 40 cigarettes a day and if he doesn't get his ciggy, then he gets angry, screams and knocks his head on the wall. Apparently officials have offered to buy a car for the family if he quits.

Train hit's pram, baby survives

The second time in less than 7 months?! Parents please put the brakes on!

"A 15-month-old boy escaped with just a few cuts and bruises after his pram rolled on to a railway track in Australia and was hit by a train. Wednesday's incident comes seven months after a similar incident involving 6-month-old baby, who survived unscathed when his pram fell under a train at Ashburton train station. The second baby to survive being hit by a train in Melbourne's southeast has already been described as a "miracle baby" by doctors."

Pimp Allen E. Brown sentenced to 18 years

"Prince" and his pimp whip

Forget the bangs, look at those eyebrows.

Mr T and Heidi together at last.

Meet Society Hill pimp Allen E. Brown aka "Prince". The 48 year old was sentenced to 18 years in prison for running a human trafficking and prostitution ring from a house which he shared with his mother in NJ. I suspect "prince" might be better known as "princess" soon, especially if he keeps that ponytail.

Winnebago Man the documentary!

Remember Jack Rebney? Some may know him as Winnebago man, some as the angriest man in the world. He's the middle-aged RV salesman who became an internet sensation after a video of him having a meltdown while shooting a Winnebago sales ad surfaced and made it's way online.

Well filmmaker Ben Stienbauer went in search of him. After hiring a private investigator he learned that Jack Rebney had been living on a mountain top for the last 15 years and had no idea of his fame or that the outtakes even existed. Winnebago Man the documentary explores the story of the clip’s origin and how it affects the man who never knew it existed.

Winnebago man premiered at south by southwest and is expected to open in Canada and the US July 9. Official site
