I'm not sure what's more humorous. What's happening between the dog and granny or that the family stood around laughing and taping.

If there's a camel up a hill
The subtitles are a little overdramatic, but still funny. He does pretty good, I could never do that in Korean.

music from sand
Diego Stocco - Music From Sand from Diego Stocco on Vimeo.
While moving sandbags in his yard one rainy day Diego Stocco was inspired by the sound.
I thought that maybe I could try a new sound design technique so I bought some piezo film transducers and started to experiment with them.
The entire track is created only out of tuned sand tones. No additional sounds or waveforms.
I emphasized the inner notes of the sand grains and mapped them on a sampler as a series of instruments. The grooves are all played live with various techniques, including taping two piezo films to my fingers.

Peek-a-boo Jesus
Placed on the side wall of Premier Video in New Bedford, Mass by artist Maki105 aka Mark Carvahlo. Peek-a-boo Jesus has inspired many to make the pilgrimage and worship at it's feet since late last week.
For those of you not into the pilgrimage but who still want to get in on the action, get your print here.
water + gas in well = flamable water?
Imagine grabbing you hose to put out a grass fire outside your house to discover that it only acts as a blowtorch? That's what happened to this family (with video).

Who would you rather take advice on safe sex from?
My vote is for the highly entertaining, sightly long, yet educational bollywood-ish PSA. Besides would you trust a condom from the pope?
I think the slogan for their condom campaign should be "free pope hat in each package"

Nardwuar vs. Lykke Li
"I'm Good, I'm Gone" The Black Cab Sessions
"Tonight"
If you haven't heard of Lykke Li chances are you may have been living under a rock.
The Swedish indie pop artist Lykke Li Zachrisson (better known as Lykke Li) grabbed the attention of international bloggers in the early 2000s with a handful of catchy, retro-chic singles made available on her MySpace profile. Armed with sensuous, barely there vocals and backed up by a quirky, bass-heavy, electro dance sound (courtesy of producer Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John), Lykke Li released her debut EP, 2007's Little Bit, on her own fledgling LL Recordings label. The disc's title track went on to earn a good deal of buzz among not only indie pop-centric bloggers but in the mainstream Swedish music press as well. She made her first appearance on Swedish MTV that same year, and the video for "Little Bit" was nominated for Best Video at the Swedish Grammy Awards. Soon, she signed with Atlantic for worldwide distribution of the Little Bit EP and her first album, 2008's Youth Novels. The album proved an international success and Lykke Li increased her visibility through touring, a guest spot on Swedish producer Kleerup's debut album, and appearances on late-night television talk shows. ~ Margaret Reges & Andrew Leahey, All Music Guide.

have you met maru?
Apparently this cat is huge in Japan and is quickly becoming an internet star with his own blog.
Maru is a well fed Scottish Fold that loves getting into things - diving into boxes, hanging out with a bag on his head or hiding in the garbage can. Seems this pussy is always up to something. This cat has personality!
The first video is a little long but is a good introduction.

invisible man
In Dusseldorf, Germany local filmakers have projected video onto Lutz, a homeless street paper salesman, showing the street scene behind him to make him appear transparent. This came out of an effort to create awareness of the "invisible" homeless population.
Music is "see me" by Mungo Jerry.
Oh Japan...
"What's more disturbing?

d. Having a lifesize doll as a girlfriend that you take to the park in a special wheelchair and then decorate with stuffed toys.
e. Or having a lifesize doll as a girlfriend that you take to the park in a special wheelchair and then decorate with stuffed toys with your buddy. "

Blackboard Blogger
Meet Alfred Sirleaf. He's an analog blogger who runs the "Daily News" from a hut by the side of the road.
"He started it a number of years ago, stating that he wanted to get news into the hands of those who couldn’t afford newspapers, in the language that they could understand.
Alfred serves as a reminder to the rest of us, that simple is often better, just because it works. The lack of electricity never throws him off. The lack of funding means he’s creative in ways that he recruits people from around the city and country to report news to him. He uses his cell phone as the major point of connection between him and the 10,000 (he says) that read his blackboard daily.
Not all Liberians who read his news are literate, so he makes use of symbols. Whether it’s a UN or military helmet, a poster of a soccer player or a bottle of colored water to denote gas prices, he is determined to get the message out in any way that he can."
